Website
www.lebronjames.com
I am a big Lebron James fan and I found this site awhile ago. I really like the layout. The illustrations really make the page standout. It's very simplistic, not to much is really going on. Its also really easy to navigate through it. I think the more simplistic the site, the more people will visit it.

I have always enjoyed going to this website because of how much art is incorperated into it. i like the tabs you can use at the top of the screen to search for teams. I also really like the fact that there are two different search engines. one is used for players names considering the fact hat here are some pretty weird last names. And how there is a seperate search engine for just about anything else related to the NHL or anything to do with hockey.
I really like that if you want to be more specific you can go to the very top of the page when searching for teams and each team has their own website to go to. same goes for media. there is a whole different link you can go to to look up pictures of previous games and also video. over all awesome website. very easy to use and look up statistics and players and facts

This website was created by the duo Marcin Dmoch a webdesigner and Marcin Piwarshi who is a programmer. They work together to create different website designs and other graphic design projects. Since I didn’t have an all-time favorite site, I fell upon this one which holds many different and interesting designs that you don’t see every day while surfing the web.

I choose the Apple website because not only do I love Apple products but I like the way they organize and lay things out on their website. Apple is becoming more and more popular everyday for there simple, easy to use products. I believe that they also show there simplicity in their website which they should do to attract their customers. I'm a very organized person, that is why I appreciate Apple in taking the time out to make it as easy as they can for their customers to browse through their website and find what they need.

Facebook taday is one of the most popular websites visited by the internet surfers, and why not? IT is one simple networking sites ever created. For me, it is not only a means to socialize or communicate with people, as in family; old friends; new friends, but it is always an easier route to get information about simply anything. Many people nowadays use facebook as a typical way for advertising and publishing product and also the reputed companies for promotion.
Well, the individual account holders have also been using facebook as a platform for publishing their art works and most for photography; even if quality of the pictures uploaded is low because automatically reduces their sizes. There are many group accounts that are created to share the art pieces and several organize gallery presentation to pick the best, in facebook. I love viewing those pages and going through what young talent, artists, has to say through their art which is easily accessible by facebook.

Website - Portfolio

What attracted me to this designer's portfolio was the colors and the simplicity. It is eye-catching, but not flashy and busy.

Website: Niko Alexander
http://www.threadless.com/
I've never bought anything from this website, but started to check it occasionally after taking this course. To me threadless is a happy medium between an organized website and a cynical/comedy website. The website's interface is clean and very easy to maneuver through, but through certain ironic/witty text or designs (t-shirts or otherwise) the website comes across with witty, snarky comments that can make the user smile and enjoy the site. I think the website also works well because besides the organized business that prints and regulates the forum, this really is a community where people can get the chance to gather to critique, gain knowledge, and take part in creating interesting and ironic designs. Kind of like facebook, threadless allows for each person to have their own spot on the website. I think one of the biggest things i enjoy is that threadless does not have any pop-ups or ads that do not convey the overall message of the website.

The site I really liked was the Converse website. I do really like converse, but that wasn't why I picked it. I have never actually been to this site before, but converse tends to have some fun, crazy designs often so I thought I would check it out, and I ended up really liking it.
The first thing I noticed, that really captures your attention is all the movement. Everything has this sort of animation and I find it fun and entertaining. Then the bright attention getter colors really appeal to me. I also really like the Christmas/winter theme, because I love Christmas of course! Another thing that I really enjoy about the site is that there are a lot of ways to get to things and lots of over all options keeping me interested. The whole style of the site appeals to me.
I really think this a fun site with the movement and options. I also think the site is very attractive with lots of pictures, bright colors and a neat style.

Website Blog Minnesota
http://www.boohbah.com/zone.html
You'll have fun with this one, I know it. It's a toddler's site for a rather odd show called Boobah, and therefore has no words or real sense about it. But it has pretty colors, fun noises and randomness galore.
It's design is universal, and anyone who can move a mouse can enjoy it. What I like best is that since it has no words or direction, it creates a sense of wonder and curiosity in every person. There is no instruction, no guidance, no hint to what will happen next. You forget that you're on a site designed to stimulate a young mind, because your mind is enthralled and captivated by it just as easily.
It's a really silly site, but really interesting in it's creation because it's so basic, but with so many things to click on, it's also very complex. Sometimes the best designs are the ones made for young, uncorrupted minds. And, the best part is that there are no ads!

Jordan James Photography
We were instructed to post a link to a website that we liked the design and functionality of. I've picked the website of a high school friend of mine, who was a student at MCAD in Minneapolis.
Mostly, the design is what attracts me to this website the most, not overly complicated but still sort of sleek looking, while employing flash in a pretty favorable way.
As far as functionality, I think it does a great job of showcasing Jordan's photography by having a gallery section, as well as giving the visitor background information in the info and blog sections. The attractiveness of the website also serves the function of the website by sort of drawing you in I think, making you want to continue the experience of viewing his art.
